During the Vietnam Recent War , it is used to be the headquarters of the former SaiGon Government's Army and it was also the living and working for the President and Prime Minister of the former Government (before 1975).

After “ The Spring Great Victory – 1975” it had been the main - office of the historical Ho Chi Minh campaign’s Commander. From 30th April 1989 till now this building has become the hotel receptioning and serving native and foreign honoured guests.

Because of those characteristics, each of its trees or each of its materials has been of a great historical value.
